Millie is looking for someone to share her love of running, exploring and defluffing stuffed toys!  Millie is a young, medium sized Siberian Husky cross that loves to run, explore and play chase with her foster brother. Her favorite outdoor activities are exploring the yard for bird parts that the neighborhood falcon has dropped and playing tag with her foster brother! She has a great nose and is speedy fast! She has near endless energy and her forever family should be very active. She would be a great running and hiking companion. A fenced yard is a must as she loves to play fetch. Her second favorite thing to do is to defluff stuffed toys. If your budget includes a stuffed toy allowance for Millie, she will fully take advantage of that! My living room floor currently looks like it snowed indoors!

Millie meets and greets other dogs and humans very well. I was impressed with her gentleness and ease with which she met my dog.  She was not fearful. She does well with school-age children and doesn't jump or run into my child. She is a very friendly dog. She would do well in a home with another young adult dog or puppy. She has not been tested with cats but I would assume she would chase them as she does with rabbits and birds in the yard.

Her obedience training is a work-in-progress. She knows how to 'sit,' is working on 'stay' (she can stay for 5 seconds!) 'drop it' and 'come.' She is very intelligent and picks up on new skills quickly. She is potty-trained and is kennel-trained. She is in a large gated area of the house during the day and does fine with the help of toys and a peanut butter kong to enjoy. She is not kenneled at night and has had no accidents overnight.  She walks well on a leash with the help of a harness.

If you have an active lifestyle, enjoy outdoor activities in all seasons, have a fenced-in yard and a budget for stuffed toys & balls , Millie would make a great pet for your family!
