Springer is a playful, sweet young guy who loves other cats. He’s constantly rubbing up against or snuggling with a feline friend, even if there isn’t much room for him. He also enjoys playing with the other cats and all his toys. Springer’s favorite thing, however, is food-- specifically treats. He loves cat treats, canned cheese, or licking out your bowl when you’ve finished eating. Springer is also a bit of a curious fellow. He’s been around a couple dogs and was particularly interested in the small breed, cautiously sniffing at and wanting to learn more about her.
Because of his love for other cats, Springer really would do best in a home with at least one feline companion. Whether it’s his brother Leap, who is also available for adoption (adoption fee of $90 for both if adopted together), or a friendly feline furbaby already in the home, he’d be most at east not being an only cat.
Springer has been in his foster home for most of his life, waiting patiently for his furever family to find him. He would really love to settle down in a quiet home with a family of his very own. Springer needs a loving and patient family who can teach him how to trust and grow confident, someone comfortable providing “forced love” as he continues to learn that humans are good. His furever home should be calm-- without a lot of people, noise, or little ones. Experience with shy/fearful cats is a plus.
~~ Trivial tidbit: Springer was named after the day he was born-- Leap Day. (Leap = Spring.)
** Springer has been using the litter box with no issues. He's been had a wellness exam, is current with vaccinations, and has been FIV/FeLV tested. He is also neutered and microchipped (lifetime enrollment).
